Biography
Melanie Burke is an associate attorney with the law firm of Tunnell & Raysor, P.C. She earned her B.A. as an English major at the University of Virginia in 1986 and her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 1989. She is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and is licensed to practice law in Delaware.
Melanie is a Virginian by birth but spent many of her formative years in Georgia and California. Upon receiving her law degree, she accepted a position at the Delaware Department of Justice as a criminal prosecutor and spent the next thirty years, primarily in Sussex County, litigating the most serious criminal offenses, including homicides. Following her retirement from the Department of Justice, Melanie spent a year with Wolfe and Associates, LLC, practicing real estate law. At Tunnell & Raysor, P.A., her practice is concentrated in the areas of Estate Planning and Real Estate.
